Tell me a bit about Hanada

Hanada is passionate about addressing and tackling mental health stigma within minority communities. She dedicates her time to reproductive health advocacy, mental health awareness, stand up comedy and being the eldest child.

Hanada loves working and connecting with community groups in order to organise events, and gatherings that affirm people's identities, their needs and their passions. Hanada strives to allyship with the LGBTIQAPSB+ and Neurodivergent communities and is committed to working alongside people, groups, communities and faiths to hold space for people who live with intersections in their life and are wanting to connect with others who have lived experience.

When she isn’t working or volunteering, Hanada is baking up a storm and watches old game playthroughs.

We strive to allyship with First Nations Australians through unlearning colonialist practices and pledging solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Niram acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respect to First Nation Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We stand strongly with people of Palestine, Congo, Sudan and other places where genocide is used as part of imperialist regimes.

Niram is dedicated to also fostering allyship with the diversity of the LGBTIQASBP+ communities and is firmly committed to creating a supportive and welcoming therapeutic environment for everyone, including those with diverse and fluid orientations, bodies, and genders.

Niram is proud to recognise and honour the unique perspectives of neurodivergent individuals. We are committed to creating a space that values and respects the diverse ways in which people experience the world, recognising the importance of neurodiversity in enriching our collective understanding.

We acknowledge the individual and collective expertise of those with a living or lived experience of mental health issues. We recognise their vital contribution at all levels and value the courage of those who share this unique perspective for the purpose of learning and growing together to achieve better outcomes for all.
